Every day, frightened, injured, and abandoned cats arrive at SpayMart with nothing but fear - and hope that someone will step forward to help them. On Giving Tuesday, you can be that hero.

This year, our goal is to raise $5,000 in one day to help provide the medical care, safety, nourishment, and love that turn heartbreak into healing. When you give, you don’t just make a donation, you step into a story where your compassion becomes the turning point.

Shadow’s Story: A Life Saved by Love

Shadow was born in her caretaker’s backyard and grew up inseparable from her brother, Stripes. But when Shadow suffered a devastating leg injury, her caretaker lacked the resources to get her help. The injury worsened until the unthinkable happened: her leg was nearly severed.

Desperate and heartbroken, her caretaker reached out to SpayMart. Thanks to generous supporters and the Felicity Fund, Shadow received the lifesaving surgery and care she needed. Today, she’s no longer hiding in pain - she’s an indoor-only cat who eagerly waits for belly rubs and love. Shadow survived because someone chose to be her hero.

Westie’s Story: A Miracle on the Bridge

At just eight weeks old, Westie was thrown from a moving vehicle onto the Crescent City Connection. Injured, terrified, and alone, his fate could have ended in tragedy, until a Good Samaritan stopped traffic, scooped him up, and refused to leave him behind.

Westie arrived at SpayMart shaken and wounded, unable to stop trembling for days. But with medical care, safety, and patient love, his tiny spirit began to heal. Today, he purrs when held close and is slowly learning that the world can be kind. Westie is alive because heroes showed up, first on the bridge, and then through SpayMart.
