Help Save Baby Joey
He's already lost one eye. Help us save the other!
Baby Joey Needs Your Help
We heard from an outdoor colony caretaker that this little one, who we’ve named Baby Joey, was having trouble finding his way to the food bowl.
Looking closer, the caretaker saw that one of his eyes had ruptured - which is incredibly painful - and the other eye was in trouble.
She knew she could not leave this kitten to try and survive on his own, so she asked us for help. Joey is now at East Riverside Vet Hospital getting the care needed to save his remaining eye and reduce his pain.
He was in such unbearable pain the vet said we had to either remove the ruptured eye or euthanize him to end his suffering. Of course we chose surgery, and he seems much more peaceful now that the ruptured eye is gone.
We’re facing a veterinary bill of more than $2,000 for Baby Joey, and need your help. We need to treat his remaining eye as well as deal with the cost of the surgery and hospitalization. Any funds donated beyond what Baby Joey needs will go to our veterinary fund to help other sick or injured cats. Please give now if you can help, and please share!
On behalf of Baby Joey, thank you and we love you!
